Your complete guide to domestic abuse

by Neville Evans

This book has been written specifically for the person who is experiencing domestic abuse from a current or ex-partner. The aim of the book is to help you understand domestic abuse and inform you about the various ways in which you can seek help. The book has been written as a guide that will help you make informed choices, offering support and advice.

Domestic Abuse is a complex subject and each persons experience can differ from one day to the next. This book has been written with the help of many people who have survived and moved on from an abusive relationship, it has also been reviewed by many professionals working in this area

Pat's comment

This book offers an invaluable practical approach to domestic abuse. The author has years of professional experience in this field and this book is a distillation of the advice he has given to the hundreds of women he has supported during his career. In clear and simple language Neville takes the reader through complex areas such as the Criminal Justice Service, Housing and Civil Law. He offers advice on financial matters and Child Contact. These are areas where little or no information has been available

Thanks to Neville Evans for making this book available on the Freedom programme website
